Queen for a Day Classic

Queen For A Day literally invented reality television and product integration. This American radio and TV game show icon aired during the 40s, 50s, and 60s, and helped usher in our fascination with big-prize giveaway shows when it originated on radio in 1945.

The show soon moved to TV, eventually airing on both the NBC Television Network and the ABC Television Network. The show was so popular that the network actually increased its running time from 30 minutes to 45 minutes so they could sell more commercial time at the then-astounding rate of $4,000 per minute.
